Woodland village is situated on the B6282 approximatley 8 miles from Barnard Castle and 10 miles from Bishop Auckland.

If travelling by car from Barnard Castle follow the signs for Middleton-in Teesdale and take the second right after passing the GlaxoSmythKleine factory on the right hand side as you leave Barnard Castle. Proceed to a small hamlet called Kinnivie and go straight over the crossroads and follow this road for approximatley 3 miles onto open moorland. At the T junction turn right, this road will bring you into Woodland village and The Stables, Paradise Farm is the first property on the left hand side opposite a white painted house.

Travelling from Bishop Auckland follow the signs for the A68 to Toft Hill and turn right at the T junction after Etherley village, signposted for A68 Corbridge. As you leave Toft Hill turn left at the Sportsman pub which is signposted to Middleton-in Teesdale, half a mile later take the first right. Continue on this minor road for approximately 5 miles without taking any further turnings and this will bring you into Woodland village. Continue straight ahead at the Stop Junction beside the Edge Hotel and drive for approximately half a mile, The Stables, Paradise Farm is on the right shortly after reaching open fields and is opposite a white painted house.  

The nearest bus station is at Bishop Auckland, nearest railway station and coach stop is at Darlington and the closest airport is Durham Tees Valley, Newcastle airport is approximately 40 miles away.
